Obiettivi formativi
L'insegnamento di neuroscienze è finalizzato a:
a) far conoscere alle studentesse e agli studenti:
- sistema somoestesico (sensibiltà tattile e propriocettiva; sensibilità termo-dolorifica), visione, udito, sensi chimici (gusto e olfatto)
- sistema motorio
- sviluppo e plasticità del sistema nervoso
- sistema neuroendocrino.
b) favorire negli studenti e nelle studentesse
- la capacità di applicare le conoscenze acquisite;
- di aver appreso la materia trattata;
The neuroscience course aims to:
a) instruct the students on:
-the anatomical and functional aspects of the Nervous System (macroscopic anatomy of the nervous system, cellular neurobiology)
-Somatosensory System (tactile and proprioceptive sensitivity; thermo-pain), vision, hearing, chemical senses (taste and smell)
-Motor System
-Development and plasticity of the Nervous System
-Neuroendocrine system
b) teach the students:
- how to apply the acquired knowledge
- how to connect the different topics, in order to understand the foundations of specific functions and behaviors
c) verify that the students:
- learned the topics of the course
- are able to communicate with lexical properties the learned topics.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi
Knowledge and understanding
We expect that students will learn the structure of nervous system and the function of the different parts, and to connect the different topics, in order to understand the foundations of specific functions and behaviors.
Autonomy of judgement
Students are expected to be able to reflect and compare the various modes of action of brain systems and how typical functions of the nervous system can be developed from these operating systems.
Communication skills
At the end of the lecture, the student should have acquired the appropriate vocabulary to present the functions of brain circuits and they should know how to formulate concepts clearly.

https://unito.webex.com/unito/j.php?MTID=mcf04354d837fb0a911e16f814962ee1d

The exam includes a written test followed by an oral test, and spans all the program of the course.
Students must demonstrate that they have developed basic knowledge of the topics and an appropriate language to continue the subsequent studies. The higher vote is 30 cum laude.
For foreign students there is an oral test, which spans all the program of the course. Students will receive an email from the teacher with the instructions.
